System Analyst - Level 2

Systems Analyst Job Responsibilities:


The technician provides technical support to the Flatrock Technology Group customer base. Below is a summary.

  • Skilled installation, repair, and support of Windows desktop computers and printers in a networked environment
  • Will assist upper level Technicians in the area of Technical support
  • Assists with network administration of Windows and OS X based networks


Systems Analyst Job Duties:


  • Install, repair and support computers based on both Windows and OS X.
  • Install Windows based applications, such as Microsoft Office, Intuit Quickbooks and some proprietary software
  • Install, troubleshoot and support Email Clients, such as Outlook and others
  • Maintain an inventory of electronics components needed to make timely repairs.
  • Accept incoming customer service requests as assigned through the help desk system in a timely manner
  • Use the help desk system to document, track and resolve incoming customer requests (tickets) to customer satisfaction
  • Refer complex problems to Upper-level technical support.
  • Read and interpret network diagrams, software documentation and hardware documentation to provide required technical support
  • Provide advanced network troubleshooting
  • Work with vendors for planning and problem solving
  • Create and maintain network diagrams
  • Create and maintain network administration procedures for backups, anti-virus, server logs, etc…
  • Install and support patch management systems
  • Install and support network monitoring systems
  • Install and support anti-virus/anti-spam systems
  • Install and support backup systems
  • Maintain functionality of customer email, internet, and windows domain systems

  • Explain and present technical concepts and services to customer management to assist them in effective decision making and planning for their IT environment

  • Innovative in order to provide company and customers with efficient services and products
  • Keeps to schedules on time such as arriving to work and customer job-sites.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Ability to systematically troubleshoot computers, printers and Microsoft Windows based networks
  • Ability to load Windows desktop operating systems, as well as drivers
  • Intermediate understanding of TCP/IP protocol
  • Intermediate understanding of DHCP
  • Ability to install and configure Microsoft DHCP
  • Intermediate understanding of DNS
  • Ability to install and configure Microsoft DNS
  • Ability to install and configure Email clients such as Outlook
  • Basic understanding of Email on Smartphones
  • Basic understanding of router concepts
  • Ability to install and configure routers
  • Basic understanding of firewall concepts
  • Intermediate knowledge of Email concepts such as SMTP, POP3, Exchange
  • Basic understanding of Virtualization
  • Basic understanding of Cloud concepts
  • Basic understanding of Windows network concepts such as Active Directory, Domains and Group Policy
  • 5 years experience in installation, repair and support of Windows desktop computers and printers

EDUCATION:


The following are education and certification requirements.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent


The following are preferred, but not required, education and certification levels.

  • Graduation from a two-year college or technical school majoring in Network Administration or Information Systems
  • CompTIA A+ (date of certification must not be older than 8 years)
  • CompTIA Network+ certification (date of certification must not be older than 8 years)
  • MCSA: Windows 7, 8 or 10
  • MCSA: Windows Server 2008 or 2012
  • Cisco CCNA

MISCELLANEOUS:


  • Must have a valid drivers license and maintain current auto insurance as required by the state of Indiana.
  • Must maintain required dress code
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a background check
